Rainy Weather Food: Champorado

Who would not think of not eating rice porridge on a rainy day like this? Tell me? Uhmmm maybe foreigners (non-SEA) who's staple food is not rice? ey? Well yeah I guess so. But us, as Filipinos rice has and will always be a part of our diet as some would say it they wouldn't feel satisfied unless there is rice. How crazy are we about rice? Some foreigners would ask... well we eat it in the morning, lunch and dinner oh yeah also during snacks! But of course Tsampurado comes from our galleon trade heritage when we traded with Mexico and we wouldn't be pinoys if we don't make it our own, and then the Champorado was born!

Here's what inspired me to do this article... Champorado our neighbor gave us :)

I don't really know how to cook this so I did some research about it. Here's a video of how to do it. This video that I found was done by a filipino abroad so our friends out there would know what other alternative ingredients they can use.  For pinoy out here just replace the cocoa powder with our local one.

Now you know how to cook Champorado do the same pinoy thing that you should do, Share it!
